Sustaining Javan Blue Flycatcher recovery through integrated habitat restoration, monitoring, nest protection and community outreach

Objectives

To build on their earlier work supported by ASAP to integrate species protection with community-based conservation efforts in Jatimulyo Village, Yogyakarta Province. The conservation strategy includes habitat restoration, nest monitoring, and active engagement with local communities in particular the youth.

Obtaining support for operational costs is considerably more limited than for project or activity-related expenses. Part of this grant will therefore go toward office rental costs, allowing a Communication and Outreach officer to join the team as well as enhancing institutional accountability through the implementation of an external financial audit.
