Project aims
Recruit and train a Project & Relations Manager who will oversee the local ranger patrols and lead on engagement with local communities and the local government
Results
Employment and training of a new management and middle-management staff.
Full implementation of SMART Patrol by Ecosystem impact Foundation (EIF) rangers and Government rangers to collect better and more detailed data using the SMART system
The use of camera traps and bioacoustics methods to increase data collected during patrols in the form of photographs and bioacoustics sound recording files.
Agreement signed with Government officials to allow operation. Notably with joined patrols with EIF staff and Government staff
Delivered environmental education lessons at all project sites focussing on on Bangkaru’s sea turtles and songbirds
