Project aims

  • Protect the habitat where the Gia Lai Bent-toed Gecko is known to occur and identify natural habitats of the species for its long-term protection

  • Reduce threats to the main habitat of the two cave/rock specialists; Black-eyed Bent-toed Gecko and Ta Kou Bent-toed Gecko  

Results

  • Previously recorded only in Chu Se District, the project has confirmed that the Gia Lai Bent-toed Gecko is also found in in Duc Co and Chu Pah districts, Gia Lai Province.

  • Field surveys conducted at selected sites within the predicted suitable habitat regions did not detect any Ta Kou Bent-toed Gecko.
