Strengthening Regional Conservation Capacity and Leadership for ASAP Species Conservation

Strengthening individual and organisational capacity in Southeast Asia is a key pillar under ASAP’s strategy.

Conservationists need a range of skills to effectively address the complex challenges of conservation. We believe that equipping conservationists with the skills needed to design, implement and manage effective conservation solutions, as well as strengthening overall organisational capacity, is essential.

Specific training for conservation, in skills such as project management, strategy, leadership and communications, are often hard to find in Southeast Asia. We are working with capacity development providers to give ASAP Partners the opportunity to enhance their skills in key areas which are fundamental for the long term and successful conservation of ASAP species.
