Project aims

  • The White-winged Duck is one of Southeast Asia's rarest and least understood waterfowl.

  • In Myanmar, it survives in only a few remote landscapes including the Htamanthi Wildlife Sanctuary.

  • This project aims to fill knowledge gaps on the ecological data of the Species - population size and distribution, habitat use and nesting behaviour - which are essential for effective conservation planning.
