Development of a Conservation Breeding Facility for the Bleeding Toad

Project aims

To establish an assurance colony to safeguard the species from extinction in case threats increase in the species' natural habitat.

Results

The Hourglass Toad was maintained and bred as a proxy to gain better understanding of the husbandry of Bleeding Toad. Lessons will be used to establish an assurance population.
