About Us
Tribes and Natures Defenders Inc. is non-profit organization led by indigenous peoples base in Philippines. The organization implemented various projects like sacred land acquisition, wildlife protection, sacred rainforest conservation, fighting deforestation and wildlife trading. The goal of the organization is to save the culture, mother earth and the biodiversity for the next generation. The organization was founded last October 26,2007 and was registered in Securities and Exchange Commission in Philippines.
ASAP Species That We Work On
What We Do
Tribes and Natures Defenders has been involve in various activities which aims to protect the rainforest and wildlife. This also includes saving indigenous peoples from deforestation, wildlife destruction and preventing sacred forests from being sold to capitalist. Here are the following activities:
- Conduct forest resource inventory of the existing native trees in the tribal communities.
- Conduct capacity building of the tribal members to protect the remaining sacred forest and wildlife
- Conduct wildlife inventory within the remaining sacred forest.
- Create forest guards to ensure the safety of the rainforest and wildlife
- Put sign boards to prevent the entry of the outsiders
