Fundraising for conservation

Local conservation organisations play a crucial role in protecting Southeast Asia’s rich biodiversity. However, many of these organisations face significant challenges in securing sustainable funding and designing impactful conservation projects. Limited resources, combined with a lack of available training in essential topics, have hindered their ability to effectively address the pressing conservation issues in the region.

The ASAP Secretariat, in partnership with the Tropical Biology Association (TBA), is running an online training programme on Project Design and Fundraising. This course is designed to equip participants with essential skills for writing grant applications and developing project proposals. The training will be delivered through a combination of self-paced online learning, interactive Zoom sessions, and personalised tasks with feedback. Participants will also have the opportunity to receive one-on-one coaching from either TBA or the ASAP Secretariat.

The programme, divided into to courses (Project Design and Fundraising) will run from November 2024 to March 2025, spanning approximately 46 hours of learning.

Applications for this training are now closed.
