Project aims
Safeguard the core area of the Gulf of Mottama by conducting regular patrols; conduct shorebirds monitoring surveys to update the wintering population trend of the Species; conduct market suveys to assess the trade of shorebirds at the local markets in 2 nearby towns; pilot an alternative livelihood programme to reduce shorebird hunting.
