The National Geographic Foundation for Science and Exploration in Asia calls for proposals related to Research, Conservation and Exploration. ASAP species qualify for the Research and Conservation categories of the grants.

The grant program is open to residents of Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor Leste, and Vietnam to work anywhere in the world.

Grants for Young Explorers Grants (YEG) are also awarded through this program. These grants offer opportunities to individuals ages 18 through 25 to pursue research, conservation, and exploration-related projects consistent with the categories above.

The deadline for pre-applications is January 15, 2016, and full applications must be submitted no later than March 1, 2016.
